Learn. Grow. Work

The Orchard Program provides hands-on pre-employment training and paid work placements in agriculture and hospitality.

Over three weeks, participants take part in 30 hours of workshops each week, building both practical and workplace skills. The workshops cover everything from goal setting, communication, and career exploration to resume writing and interview preparation. Alongside this, participants gain hands-on experience in gardening and food production at Nathan’s Urban Farm and the Cavendish Community Food Hub, learning both indoor and outdoor growing.

The program also includes community visits to organizations across London, offering a broader understanding of local food system, as well as opportunities and networks.

After completing the workshop series, participants move into a 12-week paid placement in agriculture or hospitality, applying what they’ve learned while gaining real-world experience.
