The People who Grow with Us

Our Collaborators

City of London

CoL is a key collaborator as they are leasing the land in Cavendish Park to Hutton House and the PATCH project for the use as a Food Hub for a nominal fee. Such innovative use of public lands is very progressive and CoL deserves a lot of credit for their support of this pilot project.

Western Fair District

WFD is a key collaborator to many local food system projects in London, especially through their innovative Grove facility that has been especially set up to encourage new ideas and innovation to flourish in the ag sector.

The Wormery

The Wormery is one the Grove’s tenants and has been producing compost using earthworm castings from local food waste since 2019. They are collaborating with PATCH by hosting tours of their facility to various PATCH programs. As well they have started hiring PATCH participants as assistants for their operations.

Growing Chefs! Ontario

Growing Chefs is collaborating on the PATCH project in two ways. They have opened their teaching space at the Grove to host the hydroponic Tower gardens of Nathan’s Urban Farm. Moreover, they have hosted salad making workshops for PATCH participants.
